SchoolJewel
Rights requests guide
A parent, carer, pupil or member of staff may ask what SchoolJewel holds about them, or ask for it to be corrected or deleted. is the controller, so the school answers. LD Pro helps.
Steps
- Record the request: who made it, what they asked for, and the date you received it.
- Check who is asking, if you are not sure. You may pause the one-month deadline while you do so.
- Look in SchoolJewel: a Teacher sees their own class; a School Leader sees the whole school. Points, prizes and messages for a pupil are visible on the dashboard.
- If you need a full export for one pupil, email info@schooljewel.com with the pupil’s name and class. We provide it so you can meet your deadline.
- Reply within one month (extendable by up to two further months if the request is complex). Searches need only be reasonable and proportionate.
- If you agree to delete, remove the pupil in SchoolJewel. The account and linked records are removed. Backup copies are overwritten within 90 days of creation.
