How we help pupils feel good about school
We are not selling to pupils. We are helping you, because when children feel noticed, trusted and kind towards each other, teaching is a pleasure and learning follows. SchoolJewel does this in three simple ways.
Kindness first
Recognition celebrates how pupils treat each other, not just what they achieve. Pupils can thank a teacher, or share a treat or privilege with a friend, so kindness flows in both directions.
A sense of choice
Pupils choose how to use what they have earned: the class story, being the teacher’s helper, a game for the class. Having a say makes children feel trusted, and trusted children behave like it.
Positive behaviour, noticed
Hero for effort and courage, Sage for curiosity and thinking, Guardian for kindness and teamwork. A gentle prompt shows you who has not been noticed lately, so no child is overlooked.
No league tables, no pressure to spend. Pupils race only their own Personal Best, points can never be bought, and the school chooses every prize and privilege.
What it does for you as a teacher
Less time managing behaviour, more time teaching to a class that wants to be there.
Noticing takes seconds
Tap a category, tap the pupils, done. It works from any browser, and an Undo button catches a slip straight away.
A calmer, warmer room
When good choices are seen, they are repeated. Pupils pick up on what you notice, and the tone of the class changes.
Nobody gets missed
A weekly prompt names the pupils who have not been recognised recently, so the quiet ones are noticed as well as the loud ones.
Set up in one session
Paste in your class list, print the QR login cards and you are ready. No pupil emails, nothing to install.
Choices without extra work
The school stocks the shelf and you simply hand over the privilege. Pupils get a say, and you stay in control.
Kind words that make your week
If you opt in, pupils can send you a ready-made thank-you note. They are small things that are lovely to receive.
What it does for your school
A shared, positive language across every class, and the control and paperwork a school needs.
One shared culture
Hero, Sage and Guardian give every class the same simple vocabulary for effort, thinking and kindness, alongside your behaviour, personal development and PSHE approach.
Houses that work for everyone
House competitions are scored per pupil, so small and large Houses compete fairly, and the Cup and Crown celebrate the whole school.
A clear overview
See points and recognition by class, year group and House, and how many pupils have been recognised this week.
You stay in control
Choose which features are on, what is in the Prize Shop and how pupils are named. Full names are never needed: first name and initial is enough.
Ready for your data protection file
A Data Processing Agreement, DPIA template, family privacy notice and more, pre-filled for your school in our Compliance Centre.
Simple, honest pricing
One annual price per school, never per pupil. Cancel any time and keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
What pupils get from it
The part that makes everything else work.
Feeling seen
Pupils are noticed for trying hard, thinking carefully and being kind, not only for the right answer.
Real choices
They decide how to use what they have earned, from the class story to being the teacher’s helper for a day.
Their own Personal Best
Pupils are measured only against themselves, so a child who finds school hard can still win, and everyone can see it.
Saying thank you
Pupils learn to notice and appreciate the people around them by sending kind messages and sharing with friends.

Before you start
Do I need a card to try it?
No. The free plan needs no card and has no time limit. You only pay if you choose a paid plan.
I am a class teacher. Can I sign up myself?
Yes. The free plan is perfect for trying it with one class. Please check with your school first, because pupils’ names are involved, and our Compliance Centre has everything your data protection lead may ask for.
Which account do I use to award points?
When you register you create a School Leader account, which sets things up: your school, classes, Houses and which features are on. Each class then gets its own teacher login, shown once when you add the class. You use that teacher login to add pupils and award points. If you teach the class yourself, add your own name as the teacher and sign in with that login when you are teaching.
Are pupils’ details safe?
We collect as little as we can. There are no pupil email addresses, no chat, no uploads and no adverts, and you choose how pupils are named. Full names are not needed. See our Safeguarding page and Compliance Centre for the detail.
How long does it take to set up?
Usually one short session: create your school, add your class, paste in your pupils’ names and print the QR login cards.
What if we want to stop?
You can cancel at any time. Paid plans keep working until the end of the period you have paid for, and you can delete your pupils’ data whenever you like.
Try it with one class. It is free.
See how much difference being noticed makes to your pupils, and to you.
